The Hsinchu Branch of the Administrative Enforcement Agency held its “123 Joint Auction Day” in May 2026, generating total proceeds of NT$138.49 million. The highest-value item involved partial ownership of two plots of land near Hsinchu Science Park, which were successfully auctioned for NT$137.64 million. The case arose from unpaid estate taxes associated with inherited properties. After administrative appeals were exhausted and payment remained overdue, the case was transferred for enforcement. Although the auction proceeds alone were insufficient to fully satisfy the outstanding tax debt, the obligor later paid the remaining balance, resulting in full recovery of the amount owed. This case demonstrates the branch’s effectiveness in handling high-value enforcement cases.
