An ancestral trust in Hsinchu owed land value taxes for 2023 and 2024. After failed attempts by the Hsinchu County Tax Bureau to collect, the case was transferred to the Hsinchu Branch for enforcement. Although the trust held 34 plots of land, it lacked liquid assets. Following coordination, the trustee agreed to auction three plots in Xinpu Township, which were successfully sold at the base price of NT$11.8 million on August 5, 2025.With no other creditors involved, the outstanding taxes were fully paid, and approximately NT$9 million will be returned to the trust. The case reflects a balance between law enforcement and cultural respect.
