A man in Miaoli County was found to have evaded over NT$2.5 million in taxes after failing to issue invoices for his art business between 2020 and 2022.

Despite initially claiming he was unable to pay, the Hsinchu Branch of the Administrative Enforcement Agency discovered several suspicious cash flows exceeding NT$10 million. Upon being presented with the evidence and warned of possible detention, the man paid the full amount within a month. The agency reminds taxpayers to settle their dues responsibly during tax season to avoid legal consequences.
